Das Golem

My foot/ankle is still injured. This stupid injury has made me limp for the last 5 days, made me miss another night of dragonboating, keeps me from jogging, and in general just pisses me off! I can only hope it gets better soon.

Bridget came to town this past weekend, and guess what? It was awesome! I bet you didn't know I was going to say that! We had fun. I finally showed her ILABS and my office, and I also took her to the huge REI downtown. OOOOOH and we went to Mollie Moon's handmade ice cream, where they have crazy flavours, and I got salted caramel. It was REALLY good, and really salty! I am an old salt. On Sunday we went on a walk through the Washington Arboretum, which was pretty, but probably not good for my foot.

Tonight I watched The Golem, another silent German expressionist film. It was pretty cool. I learned a lot about Judaism from this movie. Did you know that Rabbis have the power to bring clay statues to life? And the power to create illusions? And the power to put out fires using the power of Jehovah? Incredible. I don't know why they don't use these magical abilities more often.
